Newsletter signups

When you subscribe, your email address is sent to Kit, our email service provider. Kit processes the subscription, sends the confirmation email, and delivers the Brainwaves Blog newsletter. We use your address and subscription status to manage that newsletter and honor unsubscribe requests.

Signup also involves technical information such as the form used, the time of the request, and connection information processed by Kit. Please do not put medical details or other sensitive information into a signup field.

Your choice

Signing up here requests emails from Brainwaves Blog. It does not subscribe you to our other publications. Use the confirmation link in your inbox to complete signup. You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter at any time.

Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery. A suppression or subscription record may remain so the service can honor that choice. For help with your subscription or a request to access or delete your information, email news@brainwavesblog.com.

Email activity and embedded forms

Kit processes information about signup and delivery and can measure email opens and link clicks. These measurements can include technical events such as an email image loading or a link redirect. Privacy tools and mail scanners can affect those measurements; they do not reliably show whether a person read an email.

Pages with a signup form load Kit’s form software from Kit. Your browser connects to that provider when the form loads, even before you submit it. You can also use the direct signup link beside the form.

Kit describes its subscriber-data processing in its Data Processing Addendum and its other data practices in its privacy policy.

Website delivery

Cloudflare serves this website and processes request and connection information to deliver pages and protect its network. This can include IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and security events. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices.

Research citations and other links may take you to a different website. That website’s own privacy practices apply when you visit it.
